This week is the 10th National Apprenticeship Week (NAW 2017) and will bring together employers and apprentices from across England to celebrate the success of apprenticeships over the last decade. Here at Qube Environmental we have our own success to celebrate as Cameron Derricutt who joined the team at Qube Environmental in December of 2015 has passed and completed his Level 2 qualification.
Cameron joined Qube as Office Admin Assistant as part of his apprenticeship in Business Administration. Over the last year his job has changed significantly in supporting the Managing Director with increased responsibilities including everything from day to day administrative tasks, helping to deliver client work and joining him on client visits.
Cameron now holds the position of trainee water technician/legionella risk assessor and plans to progress toward obtaining his industry related qualifications.
Cameron said “Qube Environmental team has such an inclusive family-like feel. Everyone is always willing to help and support me. It is challenging and fast paced and no day is ever the same here, but I couldn’t ask for a better place to do my apprenticeship. I’ve learned so much from my team and my manager, Debra, she really is a pleasure to work with.
The team at Qube Environmental has helped me develop so much. I don’t think many apprentices have the level of responsibility that I do but I have worked hard to be trusted in my role and I am proud of all I have achieved here so far.”
