Contractors who work within properties whether they are domestic or commercial, should be aware that any material which can reasonably be expected to contain asbestos must be presumed to contain asbestos. Where it appears to contain Asbestos, there should be a strong presumption that it does. All materials which are presumed to contain Asbestos must be sampled and tested; it’s not possible to know until you do.
Common materials that contain asbestos include:
– Textured Coatings (Artex),
– Floor Tiles (Marley)
– Asbestos Cement Products (Corrugated Roofing Sheets).
We can conduct on-site sampling to test for Asbestos.
All our asbestos testing is completed in an independent UKAS laboratory.
All our services are carried out in accordance with “HSG 264” (current HSE guidance document).
