We can hardly believe that we began working together with Edgetech more than a decade ago. Beginning with our Asbestos Services, to the present day as a firmly cemented business partner, providing ongoing Asbestos & Legionella services.

Edgetech who are based in Coventry initially enquired to Qube Environmental when they felt a fresh set of eyes on their existing documentation was required.

After successful quotation we began our journey together by carrying out full Asbestos Management Survey Review to their site in Coventry. This type of survey review enabled Edgetech to ensure their Asbestos documentation was a reflection of their current site. This Asbestos Review included re-inspection of previously identified positive materials to check their current condition. Review of layout drawings, an updated Asbestos Register and an up to date Asbestos Management Survey was provided to Edgetech.

Following on from Edgetech’s positive response to our Asbestos Management Survey Review where they found our report to be clear, easily understandable and good value for money. They instructed Qube Environmental to carry out a Legionella Risk Assessment to their sites water system in Coventry.

Edgetech’s Legionella Risk Assessment & Next Steps

The Legionella Risk Assessment Report provided Edgetech with a detailed review of any identified risks, outlined recommendations for reducing these risks, and highlighted their current practices.

Upon receipt of their report, Edgetech decided that it would be the most suitable option for their organisation to contract Qube Environmental to provide ongoing Legionella Routine Monthly Temperature Monitoring .

Like most companies Edgetech wanted to make sure that they could focus on what their company does best – creating market-leading double glazing spacer bar systems. Therefore they decided that spending time carrying out the monthly checks to their water system and having the pressure of ensuring that their water system is safe and compliant would not be the best use of their time. 

In addition to the monthly temperature monitoring at their site, Qube were also commissioned to provide the following services identified in the Legionella Risk Assessment:

• Water Sampling,
• Thermostatic Mixer Valve (TMV) fail safe testing and servicing,
• Shower Cleaning and Disinfection.
