As Indoor Hospitality, such as pubs, restaurants, hotels & B&Bs, look set to re-open on the 17th May, we strongly urge these business owners to ensure that their water system is safe and compliant.
Many businesses have been closed during the most recent COVID-19 lockdown, it is possible that harmful levels of Legionella bacteria may have built up in stagnant water systems. This can occur when outlets are not flushed or used regularly, and the water does not flow through the system as intended giving the bacteria opportunity to multiple to dangerous levels. This can lead to Legionnaires disease which in some cases can be fatal.
We would highly recommend that all businesses obtain expert advice to ensure that their water systems are safe and compliant.
